Juventus show interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha

Juventus have taken a keen interest in signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha but no formal contact has yet been made between the clubs, report Bild, who cite Calciomercato.

The 25-year-old is said to have caught the eye of the Juventus hierarchy during the 4-4 thriller between the two clubs in September, in which Nmecha scored an outstanding goal.

The deal could prove tricky for the Italian record champions. Dortmund have no intention of offloading the midfielder, who has become an integral part of Niko Kovač’s team since the Croat arrived in January. As such, for any deal to happen, Juve would likely have to fork out over €50m.

In a recent interview with Sport Bild, Lars Ricken emphasised just how important the German is for BVB: “Felix is part of our very stable spine. Due to his age and the length of his contract, he is one of the players who will be very important for us in the coming years. You can see how important he already is for us – and hopefully his time with us will be long.”
