Jadon Sancho willing to forego 50% pay cut to re-join Borussia Dortmund

According to BILD, Jadon Sancho is willing to take a 50% pay cut in order to re-join Borussia Dortmund this summer.

As previously reported by GGFN, Dortmund have remained in contact with Sancho, and the 25-year-old is on their list as they look to boost their attacking options. Additionally, the Englishman has signalled that he would be happy to return to BVB.

Pay-Cut Required

However, in order to begin to materalise a potential transfer, Sancho would have to take a big pay cut at Dortmund.

Despite this, the winger appears happy to do just that. In fact, the Englishman is willing to take a pay-cut of up to 50% to move back to the place he once shone.

Currently, Sancho earns €16m at Manchester United. At Dortmund, he would accept a yearly salary of around €8m.

This would put him in the upper midfield of top earners at BVB.

This would be the third time Sancho has moved to Dortmund, if a transfer were to materialise. His first spell in Germany caused his breakout in world football and earned his €85m move to United. Sancho’s second time in Germany helped him regain some of his confidence, and the 25-year-old played a role in Dortmund’s run to the Champions League final in 2024.
