Sacha Tavolieri reports that Eintracht Frankfurt defender Auréle Amenda’s transfer to Torino FC has collapsed. The Serie A outfit was prepared to purchase the Bundesliga professional for a €9m base-transfer-fee with €2m in bonuses tacked on. Tavolieri claims that Amenda’s representation nevertheless couldn’t get the personal terms ironed out.
What shall transpire with Amenda now remains to be seen. The Swiss international has been linked with a move to the Premier League. Amenda appears to have little prospects of featuring in SGE head coach Dino Toppmöller’s squad this year. Eintracht loaned the 22-year-old back out to the club they purchased him from, BSC Young Boys, during the second half of last season.
Eintracht paid €9.5m to acquire Amenda from the Swiss capital city side in January 2024. After making just 13 appearances for the RheinMainAdler since then, Amenda’s estimated market value has dipped down to €7.5m from its €9.5m peak. Amenda still earned three caps for his native Switzerland in the current 2025 calendar year.
