Details of Leroy Sané’s new Galatasaray contract revealed

Galatasaray has made public the full details of German international Leroy Sané’s new contract. Known to be on his way out of the Bundesliga due to an insufficient salary offer from Bayern Munich, Sané will receive €9m per season as part of his new three-year-contract with the Turkish Champions. Additionally, the 29-year-old netted a €3m singing bonus as part of the deal.

Sané publicly confirmed his departure yesterday. Bayern appeared somewhat unprepared for Sané to ink a new deal so soon. FCB board-member-for-sport Max Eberl spoke on the “strange situation” that shall see Sané travel with the Bundesliga champions to the forthcoming Club World Cup in the USA, yet remain unavailable to the team should Bayern progress beyond the Round-of-16.

He had a choice,” Eberl – as quoted by Kicker remarked yesterday – “We negotiated. He decided to go elsewhere. He understood our position. That’s his decision and it’s completely legitimate as his contract is expiring. There are no hard feelings whatsoever.”

This also shows that he wants to be here for the next 14 days,” Eberl said of the joint decision to continue collaboration over the next two weeks. “It’s a strange situation for all of us, but this tournament is new. He just wants to come. It was clear to us that he should come. We need his qualities. You have to get through the first four games first.
