Sky Germany reports that Borussia Dortmund winger Cole Campbell has agreed a five-year contract with Stuttgart. Last season’s German cup champions made an opening offer of around €7m.
The 19-year-old is keen on the move but Dortmund value Campbell highly and would prefer either a straight loan or permanent sale that includes a sell-on clause or buy back option. With Campbell contracted to Dortmund until 2028, any permanent move would be on their terms.
Eintracht Frankfurt have also shown interest in signing Campbell, but it is now clear that the American has set his sights on a move to Baden-Württemberg.
Born in Houston, Campbell’s professional career began in his mother’s native Iceland before joining Die Schwarzgelben as a 16-year-old in July 2022. After making his first team debut as a substitute away to Augsburg in October 2024, the American made a further three appearances last season.
