Borussia Dortmund present Julian Brandt with new contract offer

Borussia Dortmund continue to work on a contract extension for Julian Brandt, and have now offered the 29-year-old playmaker a new deal.

As reported by Sky Germany, it’s known that BVB wish to extend the contract of Brandt, but with a reduced salary. The player has now received an offer from Dortmund but is considering it, and has not yet accepted nor rejected die Schwarzgelben’s latest proposal.

Both Sebastian Kehl and Niko Kovač are in favour of extending the contract of Brandt, whose performances under the Croatian have improved considerably.

The attacking-midfielder is one of the club’s vice captains, and if he does not start for Dortmund, Brandt has proven to be an impact off the bench in recent weeks, noticeably coming off the bench against Bayern Munich to score against Germany’s record champions.

With changes in midfield expected over the next two transfer windows with Sahil Özcan likely to leave the club, Borussia Dortmund are monitoring the situation of Feyenoord’s Quinten Timber.
