Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sané could be sold

Bild reports that due to the poor performances of Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sané, the idea of selling them is now a possibility.

The heads at Bayern expect players’ performances to match their salaries, which is something that Sané and Gnabry have failed to do as of late. If both players continue to underperform then Bayern will not rule out a sale of either of them if they receive a big enough offer.

Gnabry signed an extension at Bayern in the summer but they were hesitant to offer him such a large salary due to his inconsistency on the pitch. Before the World Cup, Gnabry had 10 goals and 11 assists, but since he has only had one goal which was a penalty. The 27-year-old also caused controversy when he travelled to Paris for Fashion Week after Bayern’s 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig.

While Sané had 10 goals and six assists before the World Cup and now he only has two goals and sits on the bench. His discipline has also been affected as the 27-year-old has been late for training several times. On Monday, Sané also injured himself

Both players have lost their places due to the change in formation and the form of Kingsley Coman. While the return of Sadio Mané could also affect the duos’ chances of breaking back into the first team.
