We are delighted to announce that we are proudly releasing the first edition of the Get German Football News 100.
The Get German Football News 100 comprises our selection of the top one hundred players that German football has to offer, judged on their performances in 2020. To be eligible for the GGFN 100, the player must have been registered to a Bundesliga or 2. Bundesliga club on 31st December 2020. An exception to this – and it’s something we missed completely in our planning process – is the inclusion of Weston McKennie (Juventus) and Philipp Max (Augsburg).
Players eligible are judged on all their appearances in 2020, domestically and internationally. Players are ranked in descending order: with the highest-rated talent ranked 1st and the 100th highest-rated talent ranked 100th. As this is our first edition, every player is a new entry and so, won’t have a +/- dependent on their previous position.
With this guide, we hope to give journalists, agents, scouts and fans a greater understanding on the incredible footballers that German football has to offer.
