33-year-old Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira is currently in England to undergo transfer negotiations with Everton, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk.
The German’s current contract with Juventus expires in June 2021 and would be available on a free transfer but would be available to leave in January if all parties reach an agreement.
In September, Paris Saint-Germain had shown an initial interest in signing the defensive-midfielder with Juventus even talking about the possibility of terminating his contract.
Per Falk, Khedira would also like to discuss with other clubs regarding a transfer in January and looks likely to leave the Italian club.
He has played 145 games in all competitions for Juventus scoring 21 and creating 13 from midfield after joining the Bianconeri in 2015 after five years at Real Madrid.
Speaking to The Athletic, Khedira said: “My gut instinct and passion tell me I need to play football, if possible in the Premier League. I’m working towards that.”
