Sargent came up through the Werder Bremen ranks and netted 11 Bundesliga goals in 70 top flight appearances for the Hanseaten between 2018 and 2021. The O’Fallon-native – dubbed the “Missouri Marvel” by some commentators – nevertheless didn’t see his career take off until he moved to the Isle.

Sargent has now scored 48 goals in 133 competitive appearances for Norwich. His estimated market value has doubled from €8m to €16m. Sargent last appeared for Bremen on matchday two of the 2021/22 2. Bundesliga campaign. He grabbed a brace in Bremen’s victory over Düsseldorf that day.
