Bild reports that VfB Stuttgart are considering setting a deadline when it comes to the future of striker Nick Woltemade.
After completing the signing of Luis Diaz from Liverpool for €75m, Bayern Munich will now turn their attentions to trying to bring Woltemade to the Allianz Arena. However, Stuttgart have continued to make it difficult for them, and they will not let up.
The Swabians are thinking about setting a deadline for Woltemade. The deadline will be before August 16, when Stuttgart plays Bayern in the Super Cup, and an interested club must submit an offer before then. If not, the 23-year-old will stay at Stuttgart, regardless of the offer’s value.
Following Stuttgart’s rejection of Bayern’s €55m offer for Woltemade, the two clubs have yet to be in contact over an improved offer.
As Bayern know that Woltemade wants to move to them, they are prepared to play the long game and wait for the striker. The potential problem with this is that if Woltemade has a good upcoming season, then Stuttgart can raise the price further, and other teams may also begin circling, especially if the striker gets called up to the World Cup and plays well there as well.
