Predicted Bayern Munich line-up vs RB Leipzig: Luis Diaz to make Bundesliga debut

Bayern Munich host RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga curtain raiser at the Allianz Arena on Friday night. Vincent Kompany’s side come into this game fresh off the back of winning the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Stuttgart last weekend and other than the long-term absentees Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito and Jamal Musiala sidelined, Bayern have a full strength squad available.

Luis Diaz started and scored on his competitive debut against Stuttgart last weekend and the Colombian is expected to start on the left side of an attacking trio that includes Serge Gnabry and Michael Olise, which will complement Harry Kane. The quartet worked in unison against Stuttgart and will look to trouble an RB Leipzig side that are themselves undergoing a transitional summer.

Defensively, it will be more of the same from Bayern Munich. Sacha Boey and Kim Min-jae appear to have lost their places to Josip Stanisic – who will play at left-back – and new signing Jonathan Tah.

On the bench, there will be a place for 17-year-old Lennart Karl who has just signed a professional contract but there won’t be a spot for Paul Wanner, who is nearing a move to PSV.
