Everton have announced the signing of Adam Aznou (19) from Bayern Munich for a reported €12m including bonuses. The Moroccan international has signed a four-year contract with the Premier League club until 2029. Everton will pay a base fee of €9m.
“I’m so happy to be here. I’m so proud to be part of this team,” said Aznou.
“The project they gave me is really good. The Premier League is the best league in the world so I’m really excited to start.
“The stadium is really nice. It gives you a good feeling and it’s good for our fans to support us. It’s perfect for us.
“I just have to say I’m really thankful to be here. I’m really proud so I will give everything in every training session and every game.”
Who is Adam Aznou?
Born in Barcelona, Aznou arrived at Bayern Munich as a 16-year-old in 2022, signing a long-term contract. Jochen Sauer, Bayern Campus manager, had positive things to say about the former Spanish youth international: “Adam is a creative wing-back with a lot of attacking drive. He is quick, technically strong and has good crosses. We are convinced that he will strengthen our youth teams and are convinced of his potential.”
Aznou was awarded his Bundesliga debut by Vincent Kompany in a 3-0 win against Union Berlin in November, and played 25 minutes across four games before a loan move to Real Valladolid, where he played 13 games across all competitions.
