kicker reports that Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani could leave the club permanently this summer if he is not integrated into the squad.
Asllani spent this season on loan at Elversberg in the 2.Bundesliga, where he impressed with 18 goals and eight assists as the Saarland side finished third in the league and lost the relegation playoff to Heidenheim in the last minute.
It is expected that the 22-year-old will not go on another loan next season, and negotiations are underway on whether Asllani will be included in the Hoffenheim squad next year. The striker has a year left on his contract at the PreZero Arena.
The arrival of Tim Lemperle, who is of a similar age to Asllani, may not prove to be a good sign, as not only the new signing but also Adam Hlozek, Gift Orban, Andrej Kramaric and Haris Tabakovic would all likely be ahead of Asllani in the striker pecking order.
Werder Bremen is touted as a possible destination, not only can Asllani potentially replace Marvin Ducksch at the Weserstadion, but he could also reunite with Horst Steffen, who was his head coach at Elversberg. Borussia Mönchengladbach, Freiburg and Stuttgart have also been linked to the 22-year-old.
