Bristol City have put out feelers for FC Köln’s Leart Paçarada (30), according to Kicker. The Championship club are coached by Gerhard Struber, formerly of the Billy Goats until May prior to his dismissal with the club’s promotion to the top flight in doubt.
Since his departure, Struber has landed a job at Bristol City and is set to raid his former side. However, a potential stumbling block when it comes to a move to Bristol City would be Köln’s lack of depth at left-back. Paçarada remains the club’s sole choice at left-back following the departure of Max Finkgräfe to RB Leipzig, while Dominique Heintz is predominately a central-defender.
Köln have also pulled out of the race to sign Palermo left-back Kristoffer Lund citing difficulty in negotiations, which leaves the Billy Goats pursuing an additional left-sided defender before the deadline.
During his time at Köln following his arrival in July 2023, Paçarada has played 54 games across all competitions, providing nine assists.
