Borussia Dortmund set to extend Puma deal until 2034

Ruhr Nachrichten reports that Borussia Dortmund are set to extend its Puma kit sponsor deal until 2034.

Dortmund’s current deal with the German kit supplier is valid until 2028, and they are set to extend the deal by six years and with the new agreement, die Schwarzgelben are set to benefit financially.

The new contract will see Dortmund earn €28m per year as a fixed sum plus benefits and then performance bonuses as well, which could see the fee rise to €30-35m. Over the length of the deal, Dortmund could then earn up to €300m.

Dortmund will also receive a signing-on fee worth €27m, but that will only be available to them in 2027.

Puma have been Dortmund’s kit supplier since 2012 and are even shareholders at the club since 2014, owning 5.32%.

Dortmund’s kit deal sees them as the second-highest earner in Germany behind Bayern Munich. The Rekordmeister earns around €60m per year from their deal with Puma’s Herzogenaurach rivals Adidas.
