Borussia Dortmund monitor Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard

Borussia Dortmund are monitoring Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard (30), according to Florian Plettenberg.

Bayern Munich are another Bundesliga club that had shown interest in signing Trossard but the Rekordmeister are about to tie up the €75m transfer of Liverpool’s Luis Diaz (28). That paves the way for the Belgian to join Dortmund but at the moment, it’s nothing more than loose interest.

Borussia Dortmund want to strengthen their attacking options with the Signal Iduna Park club considering bringing Jadon Sancho back to the Bundesliga for a third time. Die Schwarzgelben would also be interested in re-signing Carney Chukwuemeka. The Englishman could be available for around €25m which could entice Dortmund, although they want to be certain that the player will remain fit with the increased workload of the Englische Woche. Dortmund have always wanted to sign Chukwuemeka on a permanent basis but were against activating the player’s €35m clause during his loan spell, with a preference to bring back the England youth international on another loan with a lower purchase option.

When it comes to Trossard, the 30-year-old’s future at Arsenal looks unclear. The Belgian – who has scored 28 goals and provided 23 assists in 124 appearances across all competitions – also has two offers from unnamed Premier League clubs, reports Plettigoal.
