Sky Germany reports that Borussia Dortmund are in talks with Chelsea over defender Aaron Anselmino as they look to boost their defensive options.
Dortmund are low on centre-backs following the injuries to Emre Can and Niklas Süle, on top of the injury to Nico Schlotterbeck. Die Schwarzgelben’s aim is to bring in a young centre-back who could help boost their options in defence.
Anselmino is a target. The 20-year-old joined Chelsea last summer from Boca Juniors for €16.5m and has been a part of the club since the turn of the year after spending the second half of last year on loan at Boca; however, he has only featured once for Chelsea, a two-minute cameo at the Club World Cup.
Chelsea are also trying to include Carney Chukwuemeka in a double deal. It is well known that Dortmund want to bring the 20-year-old back, and he wants to return to the Bundesliga; the only problem is that the Premier League side has made it difficult for them.
