Bayern Munich could move for Marcus Rashford if Luis Diaz pursuit falls through

As reported by Christian Falk, Bayern Munich could make a move for Marcus Rashford should their pursuit of Luis Diaz fall through.

Bayern submitted a bid for Liverpool’s Diaz, which was firmly denied, and informed them that the Colombian was not for sale. Despite this firm stance from the Premier League champions, Bayern aren’t giving up hope just yet. What’s more, Barcelona also remains in the hunt for Diaz.

Rashford to Bayern?

Should Bayern be met with the same force from Liverpool, they could quickly move to sign Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.

The Englishman would fit perfectly into Bayern’s style of play. The 27-year-old can play on either wing as well as a number nine alongside fellow countryman Harry Kane.

Previously considered too expensive and unsellable, that has clearly changed. After a loan spell at Aston Villa, the West Midlands club turned down the chance to sign him for £40m. Though he’d come with heavy wages, this is more than doable for Bayern.

It should become clear in the next few weeks where Bayern stand with both Diaz and Rashford.
