According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich are considering a potential swoop for Liverpool winger Luis Díaz.
Over recent weeks, Der Rekordmeister have made it no secret that they aim to secure a deal for VfB Stuttgart forward Nick Woltemade, who shone as Germany’s U21s reached the final of the European Championship this summer.
However, while Woltemade remains Bayern’s number one target, the German champions are still on the hunt for a left-winger.
Building upon prior reports from Bild, Díaz remains a possible solution to Bayern’s issues, with Liverpool open to offers for the Colombian international.
As stated in the report, the Premier League champions are looking to sign another winger before the end of the window, and offloading Díaz could supply Arne Slot’s side with the required finances to complete a deal for one of their primary targets.
Regardless, talks between the two sides are yet to commence, and Nico Williams remains the ideal incoming on the left-hand side for Vincent Kompany this summer as Bayern wait for an outcome with Athletic Club and Barcelona.
