Sky Germany reports that Bayer Leverkusen are monitoring AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche as they look to boost their attacking options this summer.
After the sale of Florian Wirtz, Leverkusen are looking to diversify their attacking options in an attempt to replace the 22-year-old.
die Werkself are already in talks with Malik Tillman over a move from PSV Eindhoven this summer, who could cost more than €30m, but the aim is to sign other players as well.
One who is deemed as a dream target for Leverkusen is Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche. Leverkusen have held initial talks with the 23-year-old, but the hurdle will be the price as Monaco have high demands for the winger, who has a contract until 2028.
On top of this, Leverkusen could face competition from several other European clubs.
Leverkusen have also been linked with Nico Paz of Como and Johan Bakayoko of PSV. This would suggest the direction in terms of formation that Leverkusen will take under Erik ten Hag, a 4-2-3-1. Previously, wingers were of no use to Leverkusen due to Xabi Alonso’s preference for a 3-4-2-1 system.
