Borussia Mönchengladbach are likely to undergo a summer of change after missing out on European football. After 12 goals and seven assists in 32 games across all competitions this season, Alassane Pléa is expected to make a decision on his future at the Bundesliga club.
The Frenchman is entering the final year of his contract and after joining the club from OGC Nice in 2018 for €23m, it’s possible that the attacker will leave die Fohlen this summer. Speaking on a podcast with RMC Sport, Pléa stated that he is “considering how best to continue my career.” Kicker report that Lille are considered as potential suitors for the French attacker.
And he isn’t the only player that may leave Borussia-Park this summer. Ko Itakura is also entering the final year of this contract, meaning it’s the last chance that Gladbach can collect a fee for the duo, unless they sign extensions. Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have both been linked to the Japanese international.
