Speaking to Sky Germany, 22-year-old Freiburg central-defender Nico Schlotterbeck has ruled out a move abroad.
“It’s still a dream for me to play in the Bundesliga and that why I don’t have the desire to go abroad,” said Schlotterbeck. “It doesn’t matter whether it’s England, Spain or Italy, I want to stay in Germany if it’s possible.”
Speaking last week, the Germany international also hinted in an interview that he could remain at Freiburg despite interest from Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United.
