2. Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart have announced Pablo Maffeo’s departure.
The 21-year-old has signed for Spanish club Girona on a one-year loan deal which includes a purchase option, after spending just one season in Germany.
Maffeo signed for Stuttgart last summer in a €10m deal but failed to make an impact, playing just 601 minutes of Bundesliga football.
