The Bundesliga is a market that Newcastle United knows well after signing Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart for a club record fee in the summer, and now the Premier League club are showing interest in two current players from Germany’s top flight.
According to a report from The Athletic, NUFC are showing an interest in signing Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss, who is currently excelling on loan at Stuttgart. The Moroccan has scored five goals and provided three assists across 15 games in this season’s Bundesliga and Europa League competitions for the Swabian club.
Newcastle United show interest in Borussia Dortmund player
The Magpies are also searching for a long-term successor to Nick Pope, with Borussia Dortmund’s Gregor Kobel on their radar. The Swiss stopper has a contract with die Schwarzgelben until 2028 having signed an extension in 2023, and will take some prying away from the Bundesliga club.
As of now, Newcastle United’s interest in the pair is nothing more than that.
