Former Manchester United defender Victor Lindelöf offered to Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen’s managing director of sport Simon Rolfes and other senior members at the club are reportedly considering a move for Swedish international Victor Lindelöf, according to Sky Germany.

The former Manchester United and Swedish international centre-back has been out of contract with the Red Devils since the end of June and would be available on a free transfer.

Rolfes – together with Leverkusen’s director of football Kim Falkenberg – are considering a move for Lindelöf, who has reportedly recently been offered to die Werkself. Both senior figures are still in search of a new leader to fill the hole at the heart of Leverkusen’s defence following Jonathan Tah’s switch to Bayern Munich earlier in the summer.

So far, Rolfes and his colleagues have not opted to make a move, however, Sky Germany indicate that the matter is being thoroughly examined and that there are more defensive signings to come, even after they secured Jarrell Quansah’s services earlier in the window.
