Olivier Giroud to Borussia Dortmund hinges on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joining Arsenal

Borussia Dortmund have agreed a deal in principle to sign Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud on loan until the end of the season, according to Kicker.

The loan would cost the Bundesliga side €1.5 million, however, the deal would hinge on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joining Arsenal.

It was reported last night by Kicker that Dortmund are unhappy with negotiation tactics after offering just a slight improvement on their initial bid.

At the minute, it looks as though the deal may have stalled while Dortmund head coach Peter Stöger has stated that Aubameyang will be in the squad to face Freiburg on Saturday if he keeps training the way he has done.

Stöger told reporters: “Aubameyang has trained with the team and he has done well. So as things stand he has qualified to be in the team on Saturday.”
