Mykhaylo Mudryk to Bayer Leverkusen is no longer progressing

The transfer of Mykhaylo Mudryk to Bayer Leverkusen could fail, according to Kicker.

The 21-year-old reached an agreement with B04 several weeks ago, the Bundesliga side have also reached an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk and everything looked to be fine. Only administrative issues had to be clarified with the possibility that Mudryk would be called up for military service in his homeland.

However, per the report, the deal is stuck and is no longer progressing. Die Werkself beat Brentford to the signing of the Ukraine international but it now appears that Shakhtar Donetsk, who wants a larger transfer fee, are trying to place Mudryk in the Premier League or Serie A.

B04 seem to be playing the waiting game but could be forced to pay more should Moussa Diaby join PSG, meaning they would be in the market for a new offensive player.

The Bundesliga side earlier completed the signing of Adam Hložek from Sparta Prague.
