Rafinha’s pending move to Chelsea has been called off, according to Sky Deutschland. The Premier League club had offered the Bayern Munich defender a three-year contract.
Playing time at Chelsea is not guaranteed with Victor Moses and César Azpilicueta ahead of him while at Bayern, he’s cover for Joshua Kimmich.
Another reason for the breakdown of talks is that Bayern are unlikely to find a replacement in time, given that Philipp Lahm has now retired.
