VfL Wolfsburg have completed the signing of Paul Verhaegh from Augsburg, according to Kicker. The veteran defender has signed a one-year deal, with a further option to extend.
After seven years at Augsburg, Verhaegh asked to be released from his contract with one year remaining, which was accepted by the hierarchy at Augsburg.
With injuries to Sebastian Jung and Christian Träsch, the arrival of Verhaegh – who has a wealth of Bundesliga experience – seems to be a good one.
